You missed the sale.

Check your spam filter and/or junk email folder. One was sent out because I got it.

Don't worry, there will be another sale in a few months.. Plus it will be one that won't sell out if you don't get your act exactly together in 5 minutes...

I was on the e-mail list and didn't get a e-mail. not in junk mail, not in any file. I did get my stuff Saturday night. its always on a Saturday. I just made sure every Friday or Saturday morning of the month of February I looked on the boards.

"Email can be a frustrating way of sending out notifications. Every person that we send an email to has asked to be on the email list yet 30% of the emails will never make it to the customer. They will be filtered out as spam or fail for some other reason. "

This was a quote from Light O Rama in a different thread.

Its weird that I got last years but not this years. No changes to my e-mail account. I get all the spam. Cant be a filter because I even get the Viagra crap ect that comes in. I do scan my junk mail folder. I'm not complaining I'm just stating a fact it didn't get to me.

Sometimes I think that bulk email is unusually likely to get lost along the way. I'm not exactly sure why.. Heck, just sending to a few dozen recipients seems to delay it by up to an hour sometimes..

I work for one of the Internet carriers, and have to deal with issues like this constantly.

We outsource our email handling for many of our customers; the outsource, and many other mail handlers, have automated tools that will stop accepting email through their systems from a source after an arbitrary number of similar emails come from a signle source. The number varies for each email handling organization.

I know it's low for AOL, but they have a work-around for mass mailers (for a fee, of course) I believe Yahoo has something similar, and much of LOR's Internet presence is on Yahoo. I remember Dan Baldwin complaining a while back that Yahoo was blocking another notification from going out, but that was apparently resolved (two years ago?)

I had to deal with EarthLink in 2007 blocking many of my customer generated email. They could be individual emails, not a mass mailing, but EarhtLink put an arbitrary limit of the number of emails coming from any one /24 of network space of about 300 emails per hour. A single business with 50 employees could easily do that by themselves; having to share the rest of the 253 IP addresses in that block with other business customers basically shut down email for those companies, due to EarthLink policy reasons.

Your upstream mail handler may be doing something similar; you'd never see an error message due to something like that.
