Terry Hurrle Posted February 28, 2010 Share Posted February 28, 2010 I get a small red square at the bottom of my screen that I did not notice before I got the full software package and it says "Comm Port Status Error". For me, that error is the normal state of affairs on my sequencing PC, as I only plug in the USB dongle if I am using the hardware utility to test new hardware, or upgrade firmware.ETA: You wouldn't get that error on the demo version, as it is not capable of controlling hardware. I am pretty sure it is indicating that you dont currently have any controller interface hooked up? When I opened the editor but did not have any device attached to the PC i get the red box. Then I plugged in my USB485B addaptor to a USB port, it stayed red but if i closed the editor and re-opened it, it was blue "Com port status:good.
