Trouble opening Bak files after computer crash

I had to restore my computer, in which I saved all my LOR files on a flash drive. After I restored the computer, and installed the copy of the software, I tried to open up it, but it keeps giving me the following error "Error loading sequence, Unkown File Extension" All my files are saved in the Bak format

please reply back in how I can open the back up files.

If the files have the .bak extension you need to rename and remove the .bak.

Also make sure that if the files are the .las or .lms that the software did install correctly. If the extensions did not register in your system then you would get the same error.

Was your original work saved on the flash drive? If so, that is what you should try to open. Otherwise, as Chuck said, you will have to rename the sequences.

Before I posted this topic ,I read on this forum about how to copy .bak files and rename while removing .bak extension.Well now I know I was doing it wrong way.I was copying to new folder and trying to remove .bak extension at new file but won't let me do it.

Its at the time of copying you remove the extension.LOR forum Saved me few weeks of work
