jfelix
Does anyone use their controller(s) for other things than just your display? I was considering experimenting with some spot lights on the front of our house to see how it looks and use my 8 channel controller to dim the flood lights down. I was not sure if it is a good idea to leave a controller out for an exended period of time.
Greg
I use 1 unit to control things like the pool pump, solar heater pump, and landscaping lights (using relays of course). I have left mine on for the entire summer with no problems

schristi69
Thanks for the info. I was more interested inhow you hooked up the MR16RGB to the controller. I assume that you have the neg from 3 separate channels going to each of the RGB points on the light. One channel each led. And you have combined the pos lead for each of the 3 channels to go to the one pos connection on the light. Is this correct?

Or least start phasing them out. Did not think of faom. It's not like were going to be swinging them around. Good idea. How long have u been using the MR16 boards?Do u dim them at all of just on all the time? If so, have you noticed any problems yet? Thanks,Richard

rmturner54
Thats good to here, I di do some testing with them after i soldered everything and had no prob's dimming short term of course. Good to know the long term effect is good. The landscape lighting is a good idea. Have been thinking of that for a while, my plate is already full. Probably goind to buy more of them and another DC controller.
