Channel Issues

I have a 32 channel set up. MY 32nd channel is set to my fm sign. And I have 10 sequences. I have confirmed in all of them that the only channel that's on from start to finish in all of my sequences in channel 32, the sign. But I find that almost all of the sequences have some type of delay. the seq. Will start and at a random time, the sign will come one and then stay on the rest of the show. or sometimes will not even come on at all? Any ideas whats wrong? Is there some sort of controller issue?

Here is an update. In the middle of random sequences the 32 channel/sign just goes out, than at a random time comes back on. Its the only channel I have an issue with! I have not had any response to this. I take it, No one knows?

Try running the LOR verifier on the show PC.

It can't hurt to try rebooting the show PC.

If you want this light on all the time, try moving the channel out of all your sequences, make a 1 minute animation sequence with just that channel, and put it in the background sequence tab.

One other old idea. If you have the show set to leave lights on between sequences, and 100% all the time in the sequences, there may be an issue (possibly only with older firmware and/or software) where On commands are not being sent often enough, and the channel is going off until it gets a new on command... If this is the case, adding a 99% intensity cell every 30 seconds would probably solve your problem. Moving the channel to a background sequence could also solve your issue.

Ok, got ask the dumbest trouble shooting question that there is. Have you made sure that all connections are good and tight? Reason I ask this is that as an electrician, I still mess up from time to time. Just yesterday I found that the reason that 4 of my controllers went off line Friday night is that I am using quick connects (spade and the flat "C" things). Well I know that when you crimp the male and it has that plastic shell around it, it will bend over to one side. Thought that I had centered it again in the shell. Well I didnt and the spade did not go into the "C". The female was pushed up against the wire poking past the crimp. Well one of my strings on an arch shorted, and the weak contact made light a fuse and burnt away some wire and copper. Now my neutral is open and I did find a fuse blown on the controller, same half as the string of LEDs.

Point is, make sure all connections are good and tight. This might(?) be the cause of the flickering on and off of your sign.

My sign is 81 feet from the road. This picture was taken from the road.
