Making Audio Message

Well my laptop does not have a mic. so I bought one and plugged it into my laptop. Then Vista has an audio recorder and so I fired up the program. Tapped on the record button and talked into the mic. When I was done I tapped the stop button and saved the file giving it a name like "intro", Intro Snoopies Christmas" and so on. Then I created a LOR sequence and imported the media like you would if it was a song. I could have just saved it like that, but I wanted some lights flashing, so thats what I did. I randomly flashed some lights. Then saved the files. Then when making my show I added the files with voice recordings to the correct spot in the line-up of shows.

You might want to run the audio files through Audacity or what ever program you have for cleaning up any noise, compression and the volume leveling before adding them to a sequence.

Audio announcements also sound much more professional when set to music (like a commercial). You can do this via multiple tracks in Audacity...

I dont know Tim, to me that is a matter of taste. And I will say that more often than not. I prefer no music, but then too, I suppose there have been a few rare cases were the music fit the situation that it worked for me.

As they say, each to their own. So, I will vote that no music just a voice. But like everyone owns one, and some are more stinky (thats me) than others.
