CBT16PC controllers

Yesterday one CBT16PC controllers had one channel never turn off and the rest were working fine. Today the one channel is still on but all others are off. I connected directly with the hardware utility and it found the unit ID bet the device type is unknown. I tried to chance the ID number to 1 and then back to OC and it said the unit id has been change to OC but the refresh can not find it " times out". This is one of the new controllers bought this year controlling 1/2 of a three color arch. It has worked fine and never gave any errors. the load is all LED's very low.

Ps I also tried a reset with the no2 pin no change.

After show ended the box next to it has 1/2 a LED String on at 50%

Try increasing the load by adding a regular incandescent light to the channel. If that does the trick than see this thread.

The box is not working at all the address comes up on the hardware utiliy with a unknown device. I started these up and used them through holloween with no issues and only LED's two strings of 60 on each color.

Check that the controller chip is all the way in the socket.

Sometimes a pin will be bent also. Do a visual check.

I would not be concerned with the unknown device. You still should be able to control lights when you get the unknown device. Basically as I understand. When the HU queries the controller for version it gets a code back. That code is then cross referenced to a file on your computer that was installed when you installed LOR. So if for some reason you have the 4.4 firmware, just maybe that number in the file on your computer. Based on the version of software you are using.
