Xtreme Displays
I have a computer that runs vista. I cannot get the hardware for the RSB485 to load to that computer. Everytime I hook up to the usb port I don't get anything but "you can safely remove hardware" I have tried to uninstall whatever it is saying is there on that port but to no avail. I have a show to put up by Sat afternoon, and I have tested the adapter and cat5 cable on another computer. I know those work. But I can't get them to load on this computer for some reason. I have the install disk from LOR and whenever I put it in it asks me what do I want to do.The other computer I tested it on is a desktop and the show is at another location so I can't use it. Max-Paul
Do you have any other ports that are open. Just to be clear, do you have any other physical USB ports? Have you tried the adapter on any of the other ports? Have you tried to install the software with adapter plugged in? Frankly I would not expect anything to reconize the adapter plugged in, but without the software / driver installed.
Xtreme Displays
I have the disk and when I have gone to install the RSB485 adapter it doesn't recognize the disk or adapter. I have tried all ports that I have on this computer and nothing works. Each time I plug it in I get the sound that something has been plugged in but immediately I get the safely remove hardware symbol and nothing else happens.I am thinking that I am going to have to find another laptop to use or something for the next two weeks. This is very aggravating.

Xtreme Displays
I did as was asked and it has worked! I thank you to both of you for your assistance with my delimma. I went there to look for the update earlier but was kind of lost as to what I was looking for exactly.
