bwhicks72
Ok. I really appreciate all the help I've gotten from this board. You guys rock! I have all the pieces setup and I'm ready to get my show ready to go. I have the sequences ready but I don't really know if what I want to do is possible.I have Zara radio and it works great. What I would like to do is fire off a show every ten minutes then have the lights go steady and zara radio start up playing music. Then every ten minutes Zara radio goes slient and another show starts up. I thought using the DTMF tones might work but how do I get the tones to play? If I put them at the beginning and end of each track then it would throw off my timing. Is this too ambitious for a first attempted show?I'm open to suggestions. I would like the shows to play only every ten minutes so I don't completely annoy my neighbors too badly. Using Zara radio would rock but I am just not too sure how to tie all this together. I tested Zara out with my FM broadcaster and it works perfectly so at least the technology part is working. Now I just have to master this timing and setting things to work properly. bwhicks72
Awesome. Thanks.I got the show all setup but I'm having some issue with Zara Radio and the DTMF tones. Zara doesn't respond to the tones at all. I have them turned on under Options and have the correct number for start and stop but when I play the tones, nothing happens in Zara Radio. I'm wondering if there is some configuration I need to do with my audio card but I wasn't sure what config it needs to be. I read where some audio cards won't work if they are on the motherboard (which mine is) so it might just be a moot point but I thought I would check and make sure I'm not missing some extra setup step that I don't know about.Thanks. bwhicks72
well, I got it working. Just as an FYI for anyone trying to figure it out. It looks like the sound card on the motherboard of my system worked just fine but it's real picky about the tone. The only ones that would work were 99 and 59. That's it. No other tone would register. For anyone trying and can't get it to work, make sure you try those two tones before giving up. They did the trick for me at least.I wanted to thank everyone on the board for the great info and help you've given me. I got this bright idea on Dec 2 to do a show this year. Tomorrow I go live with the shows and music. I tested everything and it seems to work great so here's hoping it works well.
