rwertz
It sounds like the address is still set to '01' for the third controller. If it is a Showtime unit (1600 or 1602) you should be able to set it with the switches. If not you will need to connect to just that one controller (disconnect the other two from the path), search for it in the hardware utility, and change the address using the hardware utility. Dave Batzdorf
I agree, sounds like an dupe address setting.
isimpleman
yes that would have been my first guess i should have put that in the post my bad but it is set to 0-4 atm and started at 0-3 and yes they are ctb16d controllers with channel selectors
Dave Batzdorf
I would make sure that the firmware is up to date; watch out for the green and blue board differences. I would then plug #3 in by itself and see if it is found. If not, change the address to another number, for grins #1 and see what happens. if it finds it ok, the change the #1 to #3, plug in all the units and get back to us.We'll get you going again. There is a lot of talent and experience (as well as a whole sleigh load of dumb luck) on this board.
rwertz
I'm with Dave, I still would try connecting directly to only that unit and see if it responds in the hardware utility. I suspect it will respond on the same address as the first controller. It's possible for a switch to not work properly or be shorted out on the board. If it does respond, you could try several different addresses and see if it responds at a different address (it still may not be the "right" address). Also, don't forget the switch settings do not take effect until the power is switched off for a couple seconds and switched back on. cmoore60
This year there seems to be reported more instances of the switches not making proper connection internal. To help with this Dan has recommended spinning the switches a couple of times and then setting them to the desired address.Chuck
