clenaghen
I have a small airblown inflatable that is used for one of my songs that is assigned to one channel that turns on through the entire song then shuts off. For some reason at the same point in the song the channel shuts off for about 10 seconds then comes back on. Am I overloading the unit/channel to cause this? I dont have any other problems in any other song, although this is the only song that I have an inflatable on a channel. As a test I turned off all the other channels at the point during the song that the inflatable shuts down and it DID cause the inflatable to stay on, but does that mean I am overloading the unit/channel, or do I possibly have something else going on? 90% of my lights are LED this year, so I would be surprised if I am overloading the unit.Any ideas or suggestions? Richard Hamilton
I'm not certain why your channel is shutting off. I can think of a lot of reason though. My reply is that you should not be running inflatables on an LOR channel. In fact, I would not put any type of motorized device on LOR. It seems that several people are using LOR as a general device controller when it is not intended for that purpose. And keep in mind that the AC waveform out of an LOR is not even close to what is intended to run a motorized device. Consider using a timer or X10 to control the inflatible. If you still want to usse LOR, then have the LOR control a relay that switches on and powers the inflatable. iresq
The fact that it happens at the same spot is interesting and would suggest something other than noise. Could there be a conflict with this channel in another sequence used in either a background or animation the runs at the same time.
clenaghen
Emailed LOR tech support and Dan quickly replied and said to add a string of lights to the channel. Sure enough, fixed the problem!

Sure enough, fixed the problem! That's nice to know. Yet, I still would not have it on an LOR channel if it were mine.
