some lights go on and stay on during the rest of the evening.

When i take of a plug (ex. 15) the light goes off of course and when a wait a little while. Plug it back in the show contiuous as normal. But a view minutes later it stays on again.

It is with three channels at this moment.

Any help?

I use only the cheapest tree light availble :)

Your lights are likely to be the issue. Without a generic answer, please tell us the brand, type, count, etc. as best as possible. This will help in diagnosing your problem.

I'm assuming that these are not LEDs. I can not give any advise that would pertain specifically to 240v since I do not use that here. Are you using a computer or director card? Can you turn off the stuck channels using the hardware utility? Are florescent lights being used anywhere in the house?

Bose,
In the discription of the lights being dutch and 240V, you also mentioned an adapter. Is this adapter just for different plugs and sockets at the end of the lights or is this to convert the voltage from 240V to 120V?

You say that this is only happening on 3 or so circuits. What is on the other circuits that you are not having troubles with? Are any of those circuits using these same types of lights from same dutch company?

Thanks

I'm having a similar issue with one box. One channel in the box stays on after the shows are over, even after I turn off the computer. We noticed it because a 100 watt flood was plugged into that channel and it stayed on all night. So, we moved that floor to a different channel. Then, the neighbor plugged in a stand of 100 mini's, and they stayed on all night as well. If I use that channel (6), it works find for the show, but once the show is over, it stays on... not critical, just annoying right now. So, I know to avoid channel 6 on that box.

You say that the channel plays fine during the show. So, I am to understand that the channel turns on and off as programmed. It is that at the end it stays on. I have not done this myself. But I know somewhere you are asked if the channel is to stay on after the sequence is done. You need to find this and tell it to turn off at the end of the sequence. I believe this is your problem, not a bad triac.

If you cannot turn them off with the hardware utility, then it's a hardware problem. If the adapter has a transformer, it could have been spikes that caused the triac to go intermittent, working sometimes (during the show) but staying on at other times.

I'd try switching these lights to a different channel (editing your sequences), or swapping the whole controller. If the problem stays with the controller/channel, then it's probably a bad triac.

i checked my sequences, none tell any lights to stay on, and I checked the show builder, and verified I have the checkbox that says "Turn off used lights at the end of the sequence". It must be a bad triac...

oh well. I'll need a custom tag line that reads "LOR user with 159 channels"

:)

i think it is the adapter. When i plug in a normal lightbulb with cord it works normal
But with the adaptor it gives problem.

Now 5 in a row are on and stay on during the night time show. (al the same adaptor and lights)
Is there anything i can do about it???

In your sequences, are you dimming these channels? Do you have any fade down, fade up, shimmer, or intensity less than 100% for these channels?

Hello,

Here is the answer to the issue.

The transfomers we use in the coutries have an inductive load. Soon as the triac will close the gate, a high voltage will be send to the triac what keeps the gate of the triac opened.

You can take a 1uF capacitor and a 100 Ohm resistor in serie and put them parallel on the 220Vac outlet. This works fine. I have had the same problem with my controller. If you put a 220Vac lightbulb onto the channel the problem is solved also. Hopeful this will help you.

Merry Christmas,
