CTB-16D controller will no longer allow more than 8 channels on

I have a CTB-16D (blue board running latest firmware) that is recently acting up. It is running my Happy Holidays sign (and each letter is a channel). I can turn on one channel at a time starting at H for happy and it will get to L with no problems. If I light up one more letter (from i on...), the controller turns off the rest of the channels. If I light up a few letters individually regardless of where they are in the Happy Holidays sign, it works fine.

I tried power disconnect/reconnect and reboot of PC. I haven't yet tried to reset the controller (since it is zero degrees outside). Haven't had this problem before. 14 other controllers are working just fine. Any ideas? Thx!

Wayne, I would reset it first and see what happens.

Ya, I plan on doing that tonight. Haven't had a chance to go and fuss with it...and the -4 degrees isn't encouraging me!

I think it is b/c your controller is wanting to say Merry Christmas instead.

Heh! I was originally going to do Merry Christmas, but it wasn't going to fit across the top of my garage. I also wanted Happy Holidays to match lyrics in my music and I also light up HO (by itself) when doing 2 songs that I have that say Ho Ho Ho in it.

Oh yes... i remember seeing that video. LOL that was funny, and congrats on winning the contest. I am still trying to convince my wife that "I farted on Santa's Lap" would be a good song. She doesn't seem to think it would be all that funny in my yard. I am not sure how I would pull it off though. It would be cool to make a santa wave his hand in front of his nose.

Problem solved! The controller reset did the trick! Should have tried that before I even posted anything.
