HELP. Programing show

HI Group. Im having some difficulty in programing daily shows. Im not a newbie but havent realy gone deep into this. Each year I have run each song seperat. This way I could tell by the crowd what they were in the mood for.

Annnnnyway.... Here is what im looking to do.
I want to run my non music 1 minute show all night, then at 7 & 8:00 (or whatever time I finally choose) I want to run the 4 song show( 2 times a night), then after the 4 songs I want it to go back to the non music show for the rest of the night.

I know you all know what im talking about but im stumped.
Also... When I try to program the 1 min show to go all night it tells me I already have a show sceduled for one of the times. How do you clear out the old shows that I programed last year. (last year I used the quick show builder to play 4 songs).

Any help would be GREAT! AND if anyone is in Mid Northern Connecticut... let me know.

Thanks again

only my 2nd year so i'll give my limited input. the way that i know of would be to run the 1 min show from say 6:00-6:59.30 then run the 4 song show at 7:00 (or whatever time you pick). go to the show editor and make 1 show for the 1 min, use the music or animation tab. then make another show with the 4 songs. if all you want is it to run thru the 4 songs once and then back to the other show, i would put those songs in the shutdown tab. then go to the sched. editor and use the weekly tab (if the shows will be the same from week to week, or you can use the calendar tab if you want to make certain dates run differently. i would use the weekly tab, much easier) and set your 1 minute show to run from whenever you want it to start and stop it 30 seconds before you want the 4 song show start. then run the 4 song show for 5min (just less time then they will actually be running), then start the other show at 7:05 until ?. that will make your 4 songs play one time at 7pm (or whatever time you pick, or course then you do the same thing at the top of every hour if you wanted). my sched is something like this....

5:00.00pm - 5:58.00pm 'preshow' (this sequence runs until 5:59.30, and wont restart and run past 6pm)

6:00.00pm - 9:25.00pm '2009 show' (using the shutdown tab, the last part of the show runs about 35minutes, and will usually end right about 10pm)

10:00.00pm - 01:00.00am 'postshow'

sorry couldnt load the actual image, hope that helps..

Do you know how long the 4 songs total to? (times 2)

I would think that would tell you when you need to run your last program.

I don't know if it exists, but would be nice to be able to tell the scheduler to say:

Run startup (x times)
Run show "twice"
Run Shutdown (x times)

One of the other problems is when I choose the times for everything I get an error saying I already have a show scheduled for that time. How do you delete older shows so I can make a new one?

Thanks again

Well, you could put a loop into the animation sequence itself, telling it to loop x times.

I think your first "x" might not be the same as your second "x", in which case you could make two separate animation sequences, the only difference between them being the number of times that they loop.

I think you're getting this message while using the Simple Show Builder, right? If so, try the Schedule Editor. It will show you what is scheduled when.

lol...I knew that about the loop...I meant the main emphasis to be on the "Run Show X Times". That way we wouldn't need to figure out the length of any one show..and if (and when) we made changes to a show, we wouldn't have to re-figure the time.

Which for me (now as I sit here and actually THINK about it) I would STILL need to know when my show is going to end so I can tell Zara Radio when to begin...
