Ok sorry I'm sure this is posted some where but can't find...

I am running 1.6.3 and been having problems 1st running on XP machine show started but would not play sound some how don't know how but got it working but would play 1 song and stop all sound.
I then tried to run show from my lap top running vista show started music played and after aprox 1 hr everything stopped no sound no music control panel stated show was still running but nothing
running lor 1 1.6.3
sequences are purchased from LOR have not edited them other than removing ch 16 from 2nd controler to be a static on ( not in use yet) and setting channels to controlers
show built as just musical sequences no start up no shut down no background and no clean up or delay and to play in order?
it plays all 5 songs and stops but control panel show it playing

ran system for 2 years with 16 channels with no problem any help would be great

Thanks Tommy

Ok, I presume that you have addressed the 2nd controller to something other than what the first controller is addressed as. And when you added the other 16 channels to your sequence that you addressed those channels with the address of the 2nd controller.

But how are the power leads and the comm (Cat5) cables ran? Try to keep the wires seperated if ran in parallel. It is ok to have them cross, but try to keep it at 90 degrees. It is very possible that you could be getting noise into your comm cable

1.6.3.

Make sure you do not have any channels in your sequences that you have defined as LOR controller without a unit ID and channel. This was discovered to cause problems. of things hanging. However, I cannot recall what version that was in.

Ok still not working and thanks for the suggestions but this is really puzzeling I can run each controler on a show for 16 channels and runs with out a problem have tried both controlers on both cat 5 cables and have even run both cat 5 cables to the usb485b adapter and both run a 16 ch show fine but when both controlers are hooked up I can get thru the show running thru all songs once and will not loop I have noticed 1 ch on both controlers stay on at about 1/2 power and seem to be ch 4 on both controlers now this dosen't happen all the time about 75 percent????:)

Thanks I tried but no luck thought you might of had it but no luck back to square 1 I can run a 16 ch show and tell both controlers to be unit 1 and it will work and run both controlers with same commands and run like it should

Hold up...

Each controller needs a seperate ID #.

William,

At this point in time you can run controllers with the same ID. However you loose the ability to manipulate each individually in the hardware utility and you cannot use trigger inputs. Other than that it will indeed work.

I have a friend that has done this because of miscalculations on load and would overload one controller. And rather than rework 21 sequences choose to work this way their first year.
