Sequence editor runs on

Need some ideas, suggestions,or solutions.

When I play a sequence in the editor it won't stop.

I also notice that when it starts there is up to a 3 second delay before the scroll bar starts moving across the grid. The music and animation start on time and are in sync.

The grid scroll bar is several seconds behind and then at the end of the sequence it will play at least several seconds of the start of the song IF it stops at all.

Animation stops at the end of the song. The editor toolbar controls are mostly blanked out at that point.

The only way I found to stop is to exit the Sequence editor completely.

Using LOR 2.6.0. I converted the mp3 to a wav file using Audacity and I shortened the total time of the sequence at the end several times by a tenth of a second each time. Windows XP AMD Athlon 64x2 Dual Core Processor 5600+ 2.8GHz, 2.00 GB of RAM.
Fourth year 192 channels.
Ideas? Suggestions? Solutions?

Is this for one sequence, several sequences, every sequence?
