jimswinder Posted December 4, 2009 Posted December 4, 2009 I may be black-balled for life from this forum for asking this but...Instead of free giveaways in the June LOR Sale, wouldn't you guys (and gals) rather have permanent lower prices so we all benefit, as opposed to the few that win the giveaway?See The Poll above:EDIT:I did not mean in any way that I didn't think their prices are not reasonable. I guess for me it's like a grocery store ALWAYS putting the same item on sale...why not just make it that price!!! LOL
vipzach Posted December 4, 2009 Posted December 4, 2009 I would like to see lower prices, but they don't need to be permanent. I think LOR has pretty reasonable prices.
Tim Fischer Posted December 4, 2009 Posted December 4, 2009 The Save10 gives them a way to delay shipping if necessary for customers who agree, which seems to be a win/win for both sides of the transaction. The giveaways add a little excitement to the sale. I'm guessing if you divided that amount by the number of people ordering, it would be an insignificant additional discount.
cmoore60 Posted December 4, 2009 Posted December 4, 2009 I am very thankful that LOR opts to have 2 sales a year. This has allowed me to purchase my controllers in a shorter amount of time, than paying full price.Chuck
kzaas Posted December 4, 2009 Posted December 4, 2009 I Vote for lower prices. I never win the give-aways anyway. Just kidding, its all a matter of luck. I think LOR has very reasonable prices for what their hardware and software can do.
ItsMeBobO Posted December 4, 2009 Posted December 4, 2009 I'm not voting on this one. Maybe people in St Louis named Bob should get a special discount. They need to decide their own business model and I didn't see them asking for any ones opinion.
Max-Paul Posted December 4, 2009 Posted December 4, 2009 I too am grateful that they had to sales this year. I bought two in the winter sale, and two more in the summer sale. It would have been cool to have won those two controllers. But hey that would have only been the icing. I got the cake with buying those two last controllers to bring up my total channels to 64. Which btw I used 62 of them. So, I am happy with the way LOR is offering us sales. And great job for those who were lucky to be drawn for the prizes too. And I agree with earlier poster, it adds a wee bit of spice to the sale.
friskybri Posted December 4, 2009 Posted December 4, 2009 I like the clearance sale prices. If they wanted to do that during the summer sale vs giving units away. I would like to see lower prices. ohhh. Now I could buy more units. hmmmmmm
cenote Posted December 4, 2009 Posted December 4, 2009 I'm greedy, how about two sales? First one, Jan 1st. One day only, why not? Great way to spend Gift money. Than second one, during tax refund season.
Tim Benson Posted December 5, 2009 Posted December 5, 2009 I think LOR is doing a fine job just the way things are. How many companies that have a specialized product that can't be bought at any old big-box store offer a discounted price in off season ? I bet that number is close to zero. Not to mention, when you really look at it, their normal prices are good when compared to commercial lighting products that offer the same features. If you are just a little handy, the kits are a real bargain, and when bought during the sale are a super bargain.I like the way LOR runs their Buisness, and hope that they make a good profit so theyare in business for a very long time.Merry Christmas to all, and Let's get those lights flashing !Tim
