Alan Roten
I am having problems in some of my sequences. Part way into the sequence all of my lights on all my controllers will go off. The audio will continue to play to the end and then the next song in the show will start and play normally. I do not think this is a communication issue as this problem is not random. It is always the same spot in the sequence and some sequences work all of the time.Has anyone ever heard of this? Any ideas?ThanksAlan
Bret LeFevre
I had the same thing happen to me last night. Three nights running 9 sequences and during 1 sequence, no lights, just the music playing. I checked the status and it showed the sequence still running. I disabled the show and re-enabled the show and everything ran fine.I'm using the 2.6.0 LOR software and the lastest LOR software in my controllers.Any ideas anyone? rick gorman
On the sequence in question, do you have any channels without a unit/channel assignment? I had a similar problem last year and this fixed it. If a Light-o-rama is picked, a unit/channel must be picked. If no light-o-rama controller is picked, it should work. I hope this makes sense. bob
Is it possible that you have some other sequence that could be playing at the same time - for example in the Animation or Background section of the show - that is also trying to control those same channels?I suggest running the LOR Verifier - it can check for several different types of potential problems with your scheduled shows, including this one. Bret LeFevre
Bob, in my situation, I have run the Verifier and everything is ok. I setup all my sequences with the same channel config and have checked it numerous times to make sure there is nothing duplicated. (Would be nice if it didn't let you duplicate channels.)I have 1 channel dedicated to my floodlights which I created a 1 channel animated sequence for. I did notice that I had 7 more channels in that sequence that didn't have a controller assigned to it. I deleted them. Other than that, I can't find any reason my lights went out and the music kept playing. It hasn't happened again, but it ran almost 3 days before it errored the first time.I'm going to keep watching to see if it happens again, but I wanted you to know about it.
