billc
Bot a few cheap SDHC cards yesterday but they don't seem to want to work in the LOR1602MP3 Showtime Director player. Did I do something wrong or is the player unable to recognize the newer cards?

Did I do something wrong or is the player unable to recognize the newer cards?Hi Bill,I had the same problem with an SDHC 4Gb card in my MP3-director.I also tried a 2Gb card, which was formatted to FAT32 and this did not work. When I formatted to FAT (FAT16) the 2Gb card worked OK, so I guess the MP3 device only reads FAT formatted cards, i.e. non SDHC ones Martin
James George
Your manual lists the brands of cards that work best with LORMP3. The recommended brand to use is a Lexar.
billc
Thanks for the reply. My MP3 player is 3 years old so I guess it won't take the newer cards. My 2gb cards work fine. These 4gb cards were on sale for $9.99 so I thought I would give them a try. Does LOR plan on any updates that might accomodate the newer cards? bisquit476
You might try formatting the 4Gb card to fat/fat16, although the book says 2Gb is the max size card you can use.
Jeff Sand
I'm pretty sure the MP3 Director won't take SDHC, only regular SD cards.By the way, you can't format a volume larger than 2GB to FAT16.
