Show Editor , Scheduler problem

SCOTTV

Recommended Posts

Hi, I am having problems with the scheduler , I believe. I have the show set now to play a 2 minute animation then a 15 minute animation. I have the scheduler set to play the show from 5 till 10 pm. It will play the show the first time thru but will not loop back and replay it like it says it should in the help section. Any help will be appericated.

More than likely I am all wet. I used the simple show builder. At one point I was asked how often I wanted to play the show (not how long). The options where continuously, every half hour, or every hour.

How did you set up the schedule?

I clicked add and then added the show and had the show run from 5 pm to 10 pm.
I also added the 2 animations till i had more than the 5 hours scheduled to no avail it will only run the first 2 animations and will not go past that. I will try the simple show builder but in the past everytime iI tried it it would not find the animations I had made. thanks for your reply

I am putting them in the animations tab. I did get it to work using the simple show builder but I wanted the 2 minute animation to go off every fifteen minutes the simple show builder only goes down to 1/2 hour increments. I did notice that the simple show builder put them into the musical tab (I looked at the status. Gives the location of what it is running) I need to get this fixed fast I have ppl stopping in the road with no show!!! So i 'm going to try and put them in the musical tab. Thanks for the reply

What tab are you putting your animations in on the show editor?

Animation sequences can go either in the animation tab OR the musical tab.

They can also go in the other tabs, and if they're in the Startup tab, exactly this behavior will happen - they'll play once and that's it. The Shutdown tab will act the same way (assuming there's nothing in other tabs).

So, if you want them to play over and over, one at a time, put them either in the Musical section or else in the Animation section with "Play Sequentially" selected (rather than "Play Concurrently").

I have them in the animation tab. I do not have access to the start-up or shutdown tabs as I only have the basic package. I have them set to play sequentially. I just looked at the old show for this information as I am playing the simple show builder now. Thank you for your reply. anymore information will be appreciated.

Assuming you're using version 2.5.2 or above, the LOR Control Panel's status window now shows a log of what's going on in your show. What does the log say?

If you're not using 2.5.2 or above, you might want to consider installing the latest version, 2.6.0, which can be found here:

If you're not using 2.5.2 or above, and don't want to upgrade to a more recent version, please let me know.

I have version 2.6.0. I have upgraded to the advance package and bought a transmitter because I have had to many people ask what channel they should listen to. I was planning on doing music next year but... So right now my spare time is sequencing music but once I get a couple songs down I will be able to give a more accurate discription of the problem because i will go away from the simple show program, I think :(
