I was using the simple builder, I want it to play every hour. I have tried several things, guess I will just tinker.

I have to say now seeing the lights what I will change, but dang its cool. I am hooked .Thinking 64 channels next year.

So, everyone else is helping you with the MP3 director, which I have no knowledge about anyway. But whats the scoop and poop with the FM transmitter? What are you using right now? And what is the real problem? Not the WHAA factor.

I have the same thing. Add 10-15 foot of wire wrapped aroung the antenna, Use outside power source not the usb, Turn computer volume down to about half.

Any type, Like speaker wire, just wrap the end of the antenna about 4-5 times and put it as high as you can. You do not need to splice it or cut it just wrap it. I get about 300 feet under major power lines doing this. Just wrap 4-5 wraps around the wire and feed the rest away from lights.

Just no range . And lots of distortion

That's your answer.

You're over driving your transmitter.

Turn down the volume level setting in the transmitter and you'll have much better results.

Over driving it will cause distortion. I have been at this for three years now and have had terrible audio problems this year.

Every year there seams to be a new learning opportunity.

I'm going to ask a silly question...but just for clarification. By overdriving...do you mean the input signal going to the transmitter...the output volume of the transmitter...or the output power of the transmitter?

Thanks.

mine is hooked up to the LOR1602w mp3 controller. I am not sure how I can control the volume..

By the way thanks for all the help. I am already planning next year.

The volume level coming from the director card to the transmitter can be adjusted on the transmitter.

That level, not output, needs to be adjusted so your signal quality will improve.
