Guest guest
Okay folks,I have a few questions about this product....What happens if there is a power failure?Does it reset itself? Can it be reset easily by a novice?Assuming it is running on a timer, how easy is it to set the clock? Can a novice be trained to do it?[*]Other Questions:Can it be easily hooked to a photocell that would turn it on and off?If it looses power do you have to download the sequenced again?Obviously the point is ... how standalone is it?Any of your input would be greatly appreciated,T

If it looses power do you have to download the sequenced againHi,Does it reset itself? Yes... There is no real need to ever reset it.Can it be reset easily by a novice? MootAssuming it is running on a timer, how easy is it to set the clock? Can a novice be trained to do it? Currently the firmware does not support scheduling so it has to be switched on an off. You can use a timer just like you use for lamps in your house or one of the indoor/outdoor Christmas timers. When we have the new firmware you can just create a show and schedule it like you do today fior a PC driven show. To set the clock you will need to connect the unit to a PC. It will remember the time for a long peorid without power but you will need to reset it once a year if it remains in storage un-powered.Can it be easily hooked to a photocell that would turn it on and off? No... The current version of firmware does not support a triggered input. The new version will and it will be pretty easy to do.If it looses power do you have to download the sequenced again? No... Usually today most people turn the power on and off to start and stop it.... You transfer the show to a SD memory card. That card is inserted into the MP3-Director. A SD memory card keeps its contents for many many years without power.

Guest guest
Dan, quick question....If the photo cell is basicly the same as a timer them why could it not work? Arnt they both controlling the main power input?--Daniel L
