captainron19 Posted November 22, 2009 Posted November 22, 2009 I have a song I want to sequence (nothing like waiting until the last minute) it is "We Need a Little Christmas" by Johnny Mathis.I noticed that the MP3 I have has a very low volume as compared to playing other songs on my PC with the volume setting ont he speakers being the same.Anyone have a solution for this?
George Simmons Posted November 22, 2009 Posted November 22, 2009 You could process it through Audacity to increase the gain or you could use a slick little program called MP3 Gain to raise the loudness. In fact, you can use MP3 Gain to easily set the loudness of all the audio files in your show to exactly the same loudness.
blainedead Posted November 22, 2009 Posted November 22, 2009 I'm pretty sure you can modify volume with the Audacity program. It's free; just google it. Make sure sure you get the LAME 3 Decoder too.You can read a tutorial on LOR's Support page.
Don Posted November 22, 2009 Posted November 22, 2009 http://mp3gain.sourceforge.net/Check out MP3 Gain. Will level all of your songs.(And, make a backup of your songs first .. just in case you don't like the results.)
iresq Posted November 22, 2009 Posted November 22, 2009 2nd or 3rd MP3 gain. Set level to 91. It will batch process all your files. While backup is always a good idea, it does not alter the music in the file. It just adjusts the volume marker.
blainedead Posted November 22, 2009 Posted November 22, 2009 Good thing it worked out! One more fireman on this thread and who knows what might have happened.
captainron19 Posted November 22, 2009 Author Posted November 22, 2009 Yeah - been meeting a few other firefighters on here - we must of all inhaled too much smoke and our brains are fried
Max-Paul Posted November 22, 2009 Posted November 22, 2009 get Audicity or a program that sounds like it;) and use it to level the audo on all of your wav mp3 or what ever files.
