Clyde Dearing
I want to update ALL my control boards (56) and I want them to all be the same firmware version. I have 49 CTB16D's and I just bought 7 CTB16PC's. I downloaded the latest software (2.6.0) and it has newer firmware (4.32) than on the website (4.30) so I thought, GREAT! I can download that into all my controllers and be up to date! Then after a few updates I tried a new PC controller. The new PC controller has even a NEWER version (4.40). So now I'm stumped. I don't want to waste a TON of time updating 49 CTB16D's if it isn't the latest software. How can I get 4.40????
iresq
The only firmware available is what comes with the LOR updates (currently 2.6.0).So yes, you will have different versions of firmware. This will not cause any issues.
Clyde Dearing
Huh, I wonder why they don't just post the 4.40?PS - Cool avatar!!!
iresq
If I recall correctly, the new hardware may require some firmware modifications that were not needed by the previous units. As such, no need to release the firmware to update the older hardware. If there is a need for a firmware change, it will be released as part of the hardware utility. Actually makes sense from a distribution standpoint. Just hard for those of us who like everything to be the same.
