Doug C
I need to figure how to have one trigger fire the whole show once and kept it running.I have a trigger and can fire an animation sequence and it runs once.ideally I think what I want is a trigger in a startup sequence but hta is not where they can be configured. So does anyone have a suggestion on how for the first night and the grand children, they can press a button and fire the complete show? This is a one time event for the first night , like turning a big switch. I really want this to happen for the young ones who will remember this for ever. Thanks for any ideas.Doug C. bob
In the Show Editor, click on the "Options" button. That will bring up a dialog that will let you set what happens when the show's scheduled start time is reached. You can set it to any of the following:(1) The show will start normally;(2) The show will not start until a specific trigger fires;(3) The Background section of the show will start, but the rest of the show won't start until a specific trigger fires. Doug C
Thank you Jeff and Bob,Bob nailed it and it works exactly the way he explained and is what I was expecting, I don't know why I didn't read the manual it was explained there to.Great support from LOR and the users, Jeff I understand what you where suggesting and I would have been able to write the dos code to doit, but Bob's idea is much easier, and I will take the easy way. Thanks Doug C. heystew
I have a similar desire for an interactive startup of our lightup night, however with a slight twist. I would like to have an animation or musical sequence looping continually until i hit the trigger. It looks like a background sequence startup would work except i don't want those lights to stay on during the show. I want the musical sequences to take over at that point.I did this in the past with an MP3 director, but now I'm using a PC to drive the show.Any suggestions? Schedule it to start at the time that you want it to start, but schedule it to end sometime between when you want to start the "real" show and when you want to end the "real" show.At the time that you want the real show to start, start it up as a "show on demand" (right click on the LOR Control Panel, and select "Show On Demand" from the popup menu). You can find more information about shows on demand on the following help file page:http://www.lightorama.com/help/index.html?control_panel.htm
heystew
Thank you, I will do some experimenting tonight. A quick experiment shows it will get me part way to where i want to be. I was hoping to be able to trigger a new show, while the pre-show was still running. The way this plays out, when i enable the show on demand, the pre-show will enter shutdown, after it has shut down i can then start the new show via a trigger.thanks again
