redsea300 Posted November 18, 2009 Posted November 18, 2009 I just bought a Cannon HF S100 Hd camcorder. I was wondering what software is everyone using. I have Adobe Premiere elements 4.0 and it doesn't recognize the format the camera is shooting in. I was looking at Vegas Pro 9. Any ideas? Thanks in advanceDon C.
jimswinder Posted November 18, 2009 Posted November 18, 2009 I use both Ulead Studio 11 and Pinnacle. Both have features I like and dislike, but tend to use the Studio 11 most of the time because it has more video tracks as opposed to Pinnacle only having two.
iresq Posted November 18, 2009 Posted November 18, 2009 The latest software from Adobe will handle the files. Vegas is probably a better solution than Pinnacle and Ulead. It's been a while since I have used Pinnacle but for the few years I did use them, I found the software buggy and subject to crashing. Just about all offer trial versions of the software. You should download and play with each to see what works best for you.
bwaldrep Posted November 19, 2009 Posted November 19, 2009 I use iMovie, but I assume most people here are using Windows, not Mac OS X.

It is a solid product if you are willing to shell out that kind of money.D.T.
Brandon Kibler Posted November 21, 2009 Posted November 21, 2009 I use Sony Vegas Studio Pro 9. I just got it about a month ago and haven't had much time to play around with it yet, but it looks like a good video editing software.
