Channel stuck on

I have (5) CTB16PC controllers. Ran a test tonight and had a problem with #1 controller channel 4 stuck on. Did the following:

Powered down and removed from network only controller connected to computer. Powered up and no change.

Reloaded firmware..... no change.

Reset controller by powering down, removing jumper, power up for a couple seconds and down again, put jumper back on and power up, no change channel still on and not responding at all.

OK, what next???

You may have a bad triac. Its not what you want to hear but reading all you did sounds like it Happened to me last year . Your ac was not hooked backwards??

No, plugged directly to an outlet no extension cord so AC is correct.

Controller worked fine in July.

Was afraid of worst case scenario.

Do you have spare channels you can use till yiu get replacement part or get in tuoch with LOR and see how long before you get new triac and solder new one in

Unfortunately not, have 80 channels and all full. So I ordered a new board tonight so once I get it and install it I will send out the one for repair. I was planning on adding 2 more controllers next year so I guess I'll get a little head start.

Same thing happend to me one email and now i have spare triacs. They sent them out the same day and i had them in 3 days. They also sent me more than i needed so now i have spares. If you know how to do some easy soldering you can have it fixed your self in about 10-30 min. then you dont have to worry about sending it out.

I had the same problem and called LOR they told me tko email Kevin at LOR.com. They sent me two triac's of no charge i emailed on a Thursday and my triac's were here on Monday. It took me an half hour to repair then the channel worked properly.

2 years ago I ran into this same issue. With some help we removed the controller and brought it to another ac outlet and used another network cable. No problems. Put it back into the original location and the problem was back. Changed the network cable and it didn't stay on again. Figured out that the controller wasn't getting the signal to turn the channel off even though the network cable tested fine.
