kevin
I have an original CTB-08 that is not being seen in the Hardware Controller. The LED on the board turns to solid when connected but when searched shows 0 controllers. I tried to force an ID number with the ignore errors checked but that did not help. (other CTB08 and CTB16D are being seen)Is there a way to reset the old controllers that did not have the ID dials on the board?Tried 2 different computers. same issue. All the other controllers can be found. Same problem with the one controller whether it is the only controller plugged in or if I have several daisy chained. jim st john
I have the exact same issue. My one-and-only CTB08 is not recognized. If I 'auto-configure' the comm port I get the message "Light-O-Rama device found". But when I do a network scan it doesn't find it. This is the only controller connected. The controller worked fine last year.
jim st john
Got the answer from Dan. Use hardware utility to reset the address. Set "Old Unit ID" to ANY UNIT, set "New Unit ID" to what the board should be, and click CHANGE UNIT ID.Make sure that you have ONLY the bad board attached to the network when you do this!
