Ok, new at this and I'm sure I forgot something simple but I'm gonna ask anyway.. I have a new show to run and no matter what I seem to do the Lights will not work when I run a show, the controller works right with the hardware utility, but will not come on with the sequence... Please let me know what I forgot to do....

Thanks "Al"

in your sequence editor and on the top where the menu buttons are there is a button listed "Play" click on it and in there is a option that say control lights make sure it has a check next to it.

are they not working when you are trying to run a show or just when you are in the sequence editor, or both. Another thought make sure all your channels are configured to your controller's

In your sequence editor open up your song and your channel list is on the left. Click on your first channel on the top. In my case i would click on that channel and it would tell me the channel name, light o rama controller, regular network, unit 1,channel 01. If it does not have a unit number, network, or channel niumber asnigned then lights will not work. Give that a try. if that is the case just asign a unit and channel number to each channel.

Is your hardware utility open? You cannot have hardware utility and sequence editor open at the same time and control the lights.

Ok, you say that when you click on the "Play" in the menu bar, then scroll down in the drop down menu. That the "Control lights" is grayed out and you can not click on it to get the check mark. What version of LOR and by this I would like to know is it the basic, demo, advanced or one of the other versions. If not sure, please click on the "Help" in the tool bar and then the "About". what does it say?

Thanks

Hi all, Let me start from the begining. Saturday I upgraded to LOR 2.6.0 and couldnt get it to accept my license. I got an registration error/activation issue 8035. It prefilled in my name and lic#. I will call support on that tomarrow.

But getting the lights to work...I have the controllers Id 1 thru 4, I have the channels configued 1 thru 16, 2 thru 16 and so on. I can run the hardware utility and get them all to turn on. Each controller red light is on steady. I cant sellect CONTROL LIGHTS in sequence editor because it is not tinted. I do not have the hardware utility on at the same time as trying to run the lights in sequence editor.

This is my second year. Last year everything went smoth.......Hummm????

Any Ideas?

Thanks Tom

If you have been unable to enter the registration details, look at the top bar of the sequence editor. It will say something like "Light-O-Rama Sequence Editor v2.6.0". Immediately following, will be the licence level, which could be "Demo", "Basic", "Advanced" or a couple of others I cannot remember off hand. If the licence level is "Demo", then you will be unable to control any lights until you have entered a valid licence number.

Regards,

Alan.

thanks Alan, it appears that I could not get my point across. You did so much better of a job of it.

You know, I never noticed that before. That the edition that you have is right up there at the top. Neat trick Alan, learned something today. Easier than the Help and about way of doing it.
