LOR stands 100% behind warranty...

I can attest to that! Out of the 16 controllers we have, I have only contacted LOR once and that was for a brain fart on my part(I broke one of the fuse holder tabs). Without question they sent me a replacement tab along with extra parts(three more tabs, two fuses, and two fuse covers).

They will do you good!

I see in this post that you had a fuse blowing due to burning beatles in controller board.
IF the beatles actually conducted enough electricity across some of the circuit board traces to blow the fuse, you might have what is called a "carbon track" across the circuit board from the burning beatles giving you these strange symptoms. A very close visual inspection would be required to determine if there is a carbon track on the circuit board.

To reset a PC series controller:

Remove power
Remove the jumper on the second row of pins
Apply power for a few seconds, a different blink pattern should establish, and repeat
Remove power
Put the jumper back on the second row of pins
Test again.

To reset:

  • Remove power from the controller
  • Pull the jumper from the second row of pins
  • Apply power. Watch for a fast blink pattern.
  • After a few seconds of fast blink, pull power
  • Install the jumper on the second row of pins
  • Apply power
  • Test

That's it. No need to change unit ID.

Tied on my own post!!!

If they are not PC series controllers, but rather dial ID selectable, change the above where it says to pull the jumper to setting the ID dials to 00. And where it says install the jumpers, set the dials back to the desired ID.

  • 1 month later...

When you say dial ID selectable, do you mean the units that have two little dials? Not sure what the PC is mentioned earlier. I have the LOR1602.

Currently one of the controllers is running the sequence very erratically. The sequence has a line of snow flakes that are to light in sequence from fade on to fade off. Sometimes it works, sometime it does not. Have tried unplugging but may try this resetting I just read about.
