The easyiest way I found, is to add in your case, 16 new channels into sequence. Than highlight an area of the sequence that you like, than copy it into clip board by cntr-v or use the tool button on top. Than click on the new channel in where you want to paste it, and hit cntr-v or the clipboard button on top.

You can also click on the first cell, select for edit menu, select row, than copy. Than past the whole row into another channel you created.

When finished, delete all the old channels and just keep the new 16 that you created.

Hope this helps, I am not the best at explaining key strokes.

Cenote's approach is good, but in case it wasn't clear I thought I'd elaborate.

You've obviously downloaded a new sequence and the music. Open the new sequence and from the Edit pulldown (on the top menu bar) select Add new track. On the subsequent dialogue box, give the track a name, specify it should have 16 channels and be sure the check box is marked "use an existing timing grid." This will create a new track with the same timings as the others.

To copy an area from a track you like - first you must select a range of cells that you want to copy. One way to do that is with your mouse. Point at the top left cell of an area you interested in and hold down the left mouse button. Now, while keeping the left mouse button held down, move the mouse over an area of cells you want to copy. Let go of the mouse button and you will see a box surrounding a range of cells. The range can be a single cell, a row of cells, or multiple rows of cells.

At this point you have "selected" your area of interest.

Now you must COPY those cells. There are two ways to copy. From the Edit pulldown you can select Copy. (Copy what? The range of cells you just selected.) Or most people will use the keyboard shortcut, CTRL C. (While holding down the CTRL key simultaneously press the C key.) In either approach, it will seem like nothing was accomplished. But it was. The range of cells was copied (in to the clipboard.)

Finally, you PASTE. Use your mouse and point and click the left mouse button at the upper left corner of the range you want to paste in to in your new 16 channel track. Now PASTE. Again, there are two ways. Use your mouse and go to the edit pulldown and select Paste. Or use the keyboard shortcut, CTRL V. (While holding down the CTRL key simultaneously hit the V key.)

Voila! The area you copied from one track will appear in your new track.

Finally, learn to use the keyboard and forget the mouse at all costs. It's much faster. You can learn keyboard shortcuts in the LOR help. For instance, now that you know how to select an area, press the N key and everything in the selected area will be turned ON. Or F will turn an area OFF. S to shimmer. T to twinkle. D for fade down. Can you guess what key is up?

Good luck.

Thank you, because I know I stink at talking simple...

I try this and nothing shows up on the screen(as far as the paste goes). I selected and area,,copy(cntrl-V) or "edit-copy". then scroll down to where I added the channels and hightlght the first cells of the rows I want to paste,,cntrl-v or "edit-paste"...slide bar on the bottommoves all the way to the right..but nothing shows up. I click on "edit" in the file menu..to see if it pasted..and "undo paste" is an option now..but still see nothing in the cells.

I have tried both ways...adding channels or add new track..same result on both.

Help please

Thanks
