buratti
Ok, so i broke out my controller today in preparation for a Halloween show. I just finished assembling my new arch and put together a quick sequence to test it out. When i connected it to my controller and plugged the controller in, everything lit up immediately. When i went into the hardware editor to test channels and such, I could not get it to turn off, or do anything other than just constantly on. I closed the hardware utility and tried controlling the lights from the sequence editor, and same thing, just constantly on. In the hardware utility, it finds my controller just fine, and I have the correct comm port selected, but no response. If I can remember correctly, all other years, when the lights were plugged in, they would stay off until a command was sent to turn them on, which is opposite what is happening now. Was I correct in my memory about that?I updated the firmware and that didn't do anything. During the process of updating, however, I did notice the lights go off, but back on when completed with the same problem.I read in these posts that someone suggested to reset the unit by setting a jumper, but looking at my unit, I see a bank of jumper pins, but no jumper(s) to move. How would I go about resetting the unit? Or what else can be the problem. My unit is (according the the hardware utility) CTB16D ver.4.30. it has a blue board and purchased pre-assembled from LOR. What can be wrong, or what am I doing wrong????
buratti
You know what... Nevermind!!! I'm so stupid! last year I loaded a standalone sequence to the unit. i remembered that after I posted that question, then cleared all standalone sequences from the hardware utility. Then what do you know. Everything works.
