I have done all the trouble shooting checks and its getting power. Led works with jumper. Have tested processor and eprom ect in a working board and all work.any suggestions.thanks,John
Ponddude
LED works with jumper? - What does that mean?Does the board work? You could just have an LED that is dead.
jxnms
in the troubleshooting it says to remove the microprocessor andc supply power and to jump top left with right 2 down on the 18 pin header this is to test the led itself and it lights so the led is good.also have 5 v at jumber 424 volts at d1 d2every thing passes on the trouble shooting however the led still does not lightJohn
cmoore60
Did you install the processor in the correct orientation?Chuck
-klb-
Have you tried with the com chip pulled?
Max-Paul
With all chips back in their proper place and board powered up. Being careful not to get across any 110VAC. Apply a little side pressure to the LED. Try from all sides. If the LED flickers, you have a cold solder joint. It appears that the LED is good from the jumper test. But do we know if the solder joint is good. Maybe you will have to trace the paths going through the resistor and back to I presume the controller chip. And if you are real handy with a volt meter once you have traced it back to the controller chip and know which pin. Put the probe on the chip's pin and see if you have 5VDC.Have you tried resetting your board? If resetting does not do it and no 5VDC. Then its time for Dan and crew. John
Does the hardware utility detect the controller?I guess this is a CTB16 board with the unit address dials on the upper right?Try to reset the controller first:To reset the controller, unplug the controller - set the unit ID dials to 00 - power it back up for a few seconds - then turn it back off and set the Unit ID dials back to their original settings.Test again to see if it works.
