jimswinder
Every time I unplug my controllers I have to reset the Controller Unit ID's. Is this normal? Or should they stay set, even after I unplug them?If you are wondering why I am unplugging them, it is because I have some stuff set-up in my living room to do some testing, and need to unplug them so there is not a trip hazard.Thanks... -klb-
What type of controllers? On the 1602W, and CTB16D, you should have white dials that set the unit ID. You can over ride that setting with the hardware utility, but every time it powers up, it will revert to the dial setting. On the CTB16, and CTB16PC, the only way to set the ID is through the hardware utility, and of the 40 CTB16PC controllers I work with, I've never had one loose its unit ID once it was configured. jimswinder
They are the 1602W...and I am using the Hardware Utility to set them. So I need to set them with the white dials then, huh?Thanks...
-klb-
Correct. Just turn the dials to the ID you want, power the controller up, and forget... (Or you can use the hardware utility to verify they are set as you think, then forget)ETA: The white dials should be just to the right of the network jacks. Alan C
If you set the unit addresses with the hardware utility on the 1602W or the CTB16D, they will return to the value set on the white dials every time you turn the power off and on again.Regards,Alan.
