ChristmasDude Posted September 20, 2009 Posted September 20, 2009 Hi,If I get an mp3 that is 256kbps, can I use it with the LOR software to sequence to?Thank you for your time and attention.
-klb- Posted September 20, 2009 Posted September 20, 2009 It needs to be constant bit rate. You can use audacity to convert to a constant bit rate. See this doc for some guidance:http://lightorama.com/Documents/Audacity_Lame_128Kbps.pdfFailure to use constant bit rate files will likely result in apparent synchronization issues when playing just a portion of the sequence.
ChristmasDude Posted September 20, 2009 Author Posted September 20, 2009 Thank you klb.I am thinking of using this service (http://www.synchronizedchristmas.com/services/8) and I notice they will down-convert by 256k bit to get to 128k CBR, perhaps I can get them to keep it at 256k and just convert to cbr. When reduced to cbr, but keeping the 256k bit rate, how much of a reduction in quality is there?
Brian Mitchell Posted September 20, 2009 Posted September 20, 2009 128k is still CD quality. For people listening to a display from a car radio or walking around your display, noone would EVER know the difference, even if it was at 96k.Only listening on a quality stereo or with headphones would most people be able to tell the difference.
