Trey Drysdale Posted August 15, 2009 Posted August 15, 2009 Okay, I currently have version 1.6.4 of the LOR software and I wanted to update it to the S2 version from the website. The download was succcessful but now when I open up Sequence Editor it says that it is the demo version and I need to either type in or purchase my lisence key in order to have it updated to the full version.Problem is that I purchased my Light O Rama product from Ebay.co.uk using my Mum's Paypal account and email address. I do not believe there a lisence key but my question is:Where do I find the lisence key? Thanks Everyone,-Trey
bisquit476 Posted August 15, 2009 Posted August 15, 2009 Whether you have a legal copy or not will be determined by who you bought it from on ebay. Bought from an individual, it's probably bootleg. Bought from a reseller, just send that company or LOR an e-mail with your e-mail address used to buy the product and they will send your license key to you. If bootleg, you're probably out of luck. Sorry. Hope all goes well for you.
Tim Herberger Posted August 15, 2009 Posted August 15, 2009 Trey,This http://lightorama.com/licenseRetrieval.html link should get your licence, If you don't have your original email that the LOR software was purchased with it will take a couple of days, but there is a system in place.
Alan C Posted August 15, 2009 Posted August 15, 2009 Trey,Unfortunately it may not be that easy, as you have not bought from LOR direct. I agree with the other two replies that you need to contact either the person you bought it off, or LOR. Licensing of the software was introduced fairly recently to prevent piracy of the software. As you correctly stated, the version 1.6.x software did not require a license key.Regards,Alan.
