brownmic Posted August 14, 2009 Posted August 14, 2009 I have changed computers, moved the sequences and the audio files. While all was well on my old comp with version 1.6 the new comp and new version are giving me fits. I have installed and uninstalled like 6 times, my license has been entered and everything is there, but when I try to write a new sequence everything freezes and I have to do a control, alt, delete to get out of the screen. The same thing happens on some of my sequences when I try to ad the media file and click on media it freezes to the point of having the control , alt, delete to get out. I'm running XP with service pak 2. I called the Tech line and they say just reinstall which I have done. I also have downloaded and ran the file cleanup tool from microsoft with no luck. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
brownmic Posted August 14, 2009 Author Posted August 14, 2009 Thanks for the repy ---- it's not the media playerI talked to Dan at LOR and he give me a link to do a LOR Reg wipe and like magic all the problems went away. It just amazes me how you can spend half a day trying to figure something out and bam, something so simple can turn things around so quick.Thanks AgainMike
-klb- Posted August 14, 2009 Posted August 14, 2009 I'm glad you got your issue resolved. I just suggested media player upgrade because on one of the systems I have LOR on I had the exact same lock up issues the first time I installed LOR. In my case it was resolved with a windows media player upgrade.
