SnowLoverGeorgia Posted July 22, 2009 Posted July 22, 2009 I havent touched my sequence editor all year and i go to open it and it wont open. Everything else like the scheduler and hardware utility open but not the editor. Why is that?
Brian Mitchell Posted July 22, 2009 Posted July 22, 2009 You need to update to the latest version and get your keycode from LOR. The last version expired in June. There are links and instructions on the LOR website.

Michael B Posted July 22, 2009 Posted July 22, 2009 On the link there is the S2 download and on the right the license key button
SnowLoverGeorgia Posted July 22, 2009 Author Posted July 22, 2009 do i just need to download that new version?
Michael B Posted July 22, 2009 Posted July 22, 2009 You can download the new version, but you have to have the License key to control the lights. I'm not sure , but your sequences might become incripted.
SnowLoverGeorgia Posted July 22, 2009 Author Posted July 22, 2009 great....i think im screwed..I think i lost my sequences too then....I dont know what im doing...LOL
Michael B Posted July 22, 2009 Posted July 22, 2009 Pm me you pone number and I will call you, unless it is too late.
-klb- Posted July 22, 2009 Posted July 22, 2009 The license key is free. All you need is to still have access to the email account you used when you purchased the software. All the LOR 1 and LOR II sequences work in the current S2 release. If you get your key, install S2, and install the key, all your old sequences should work fine. If somehow they got messed up, your bak files should still be OK, as long as you haven't saved more than once in the new version in demo mode.
bob Posted July 23, 2009 Posted July 23, 2009 Your sequences, if encrypted, are not lost. First of all, LOR can read and use encrypted sequences just fine. The difference is the way that they're stored on your disk, not your ability to use them.Second, if them being encrypted is important to you regardless, they will automatically become unencrypted when you save them with a licensed version of the software (assuming you save them on the same machine that they were originally encrypted on). Also, people upthread have said all this, but I just want to summarize:(1) Assuming you have ever bought any copy of LOR software, no matter what version, no matter when, and no matter whether by itself or as part of a package, you are entitled to a free license.(2) You can retrieve your free license from:http://www.lightorama.com/licenseRetrieval.html(3) That page will require that you enter the email address you used when you purchased your software. If you no longer have access to that email address, or have forgotten it, or whatever, contact LOR customer support and they will get your licensing straightened out for you. Contact info is at the bottom of the following page:http://www.lightorama.com/support.htmlEdit:Well, when I said "they will automatically become unencrypted when you save them with a licensed version of the software", that's not 100% accurate. It's correct if your license is for a version higher than Light-O-Rama Basic; if your license is for Light-O-Rama Basic, the files will remain encrypted.Your free license is Light-O-Rama Advanced, which is the highest license level, so this distinction won't matter to you. But I'm just mentioning it in case someone finds this thread in the future, and gets the wrong idea from what I wrote.
Gina Burns Posted August 1, 2009 Posted August 1, 2009 Ok so I am having trouble with it too!! It is saying that the program is on a network resource that is unavailable...what do I do now
