rwertz Posted July 12, 2009 Posted July 12, 2009 I haven't sequenced much this year. So, I'm not sure when this feature was released. But I like it If you leave the mouse hover over a cell for 1 second a pop-up box displays the cell info (like the cell info menu option). As you move or drag the mouse the info updates for the current cell the mouse is in.
DaveK Posted July 14, 2009 Posted July 14, 2009 Hi Reg –You can now control some of the Tooltips preferences too. Go to EDIT - PREFERENCES - DISPLAY PREFERENCES and on that window you can control the opening time, closing time, etc. Very helpful.- Dave
rwertz Posted July 14, 2009 Author Posted July 14, 2009 Hey look at that, Animation Redraw Throttling. I'll have to crank that up a little Thanks Dave.Edit: So, low throttling (default setting) provides the fasting refresh rate?
DaveK Posted July 14, 2009 Posted July 14, 2009 Yes, I find that LOW is best; for my computer anyway.
JimCanfield Posted July 14, 2009 Posted July 14, 2009 Call me dumb, but what are tool tips and anmation redraw throttling??
rwertz Posted July 14, 2009 Author Posted July 14, 2009 Here's the Tooltip we were talking about. If you leave the mouse hover over a cell for ~1 second a pop-up box displays info on the effect assigned to that cell. Unfortunately my screen capture doesn't show the mouse pointer.
JimCanfield Posted July 14, 2009 Posted July 14, 2009 I did not know that that was called a tool tip, thanks
bob Posted July 15, 2009 Posted July 15, 2009 JimCanfield wrote: Call me dumb, but what are tool tips and anmation redraw throttling??The tool tip question has already been answered, so: Animation redraw throttling is related to how quickly the Animator will redraw. Setting it as low as possible will make the animation look as smooth as possible, unless your machine is unable to keep up with the redrawing, in which case it will probably look jerky. Setting it as high as possible will give your machine the least amount of work to do.For details, please see the section "Animation Redraw Throttling" on the Display Preferences help page:http://lightorama.com/help/index.html?display_preferences.htm
