imfsimm Posted June 17, 2009 Posted June 17, 2009 Hello AllI did a stupid thing, I thought I moved all of my files to my NAS before I formatted my drive. Apparently it did not copy some folders. I have lost a lot of files. I have recovered some, but most were unrecoverable! My question is, does anybody know if the sequences can be recovered from the SD card from last year, which I still had in the controller. I see all of the MP3 files, I will just have to rename them from S1File0x to whatever they are.Its the SEQ files I'm worried about. I tried renaming these and use them as a LMS file? It did not work, maybe edit them?I did a search for SEQ files but it did not return anything.BTW, Dan, the install of new version went great, thanks!ThanksTim
bisquit476 Posted June 17, 2009 Posted June 17, 2009 Tim, there are programs which will pull up the files off of your hard drive even with formatting being done. Do a search for the info, you should still be able to pull up the files
lightsbyjoe Posted June 18, 2009 Posted June 18, 2009 I think I read somewhere that the SEQ files could not be converted back to a regular sequence.
melwelch Posted June 18, 2009 Posted June 18, 2009 Try this software to recover your data... They have a demo version to try first before you purchase...http://www.runtime.org/data-recovery-products.htm
imfsimm Posted June 27, 2009 Author Posted June 27, 2009 Here is what happened.I have tried to recover my data, I have used Nero Rescue Agent, Get Data Back for NTFS. They find a lot of data but no LOR files. I'm afraid I have over written the areas where that data was.I formatted and reloaded Windows back in April. I then reloaded all of my other software. MS Office 2007, Photo Shop CS4, Nero 9. These are all very big programs. and bunch of other stuff. It wasn't until the new version of LOR came out that I tried to get my files off my NAS. That's when I discovered they were not there, and it didn't copy the files. All of my folders are on the NAS, just no data in the folders. For what ever reason they did not copy. So, I have two options, run with what I did last year and setup the forth controller to follow an exciting controller. Or, reprogram all my songs and voice overs.I'm not sure I want to reprogram all of my stuff. The only problem with this option is I can't add the strobes to all of the house's and my Bellagio light pole that I made?Another thought I had was, I could just add some more sequences to the card. Sequence a couple of new songs with the strobes and Bellagio light pole. Then just add them to the card and change the s2filexx.seq accordingly. Any thoughts on this?ThanksTim
imfsimm Posted June 28, 2009 Author Posted June 28, 2009 Update Good News folks, my files have been found!Thankfully I'm a paranoid person, at sometime I ftp'd my files to my web hosting company servers. I forgot I did this. I ftp'd them in Jan. All of my Sequences even the bad ones are all there, including all of my audio files and schedule files.I was really depressed having to redo all of my songs again. Now I just have to make a few changes and include the new strobes in the trees.I'm one happy camper its going to be a good Christmas!I guess its good to know you can't recover your SEQ files from the SD card. Thanks for the help everybody.Tim
