Steven
IIRC, I ran a show last year with a shutdown sequence that left several channels on. This was on purpose. I un-checked the "Turn used lights off at end of each sequence" box in the Shutdown tab. When the ended, the lights I wanted to be left on did indeed stay on.I was just reading the help file today and found this paragraph:You can control whether or not sequences in this section will automatically turn their lights off when they reach their end by setting the "Turn used lights off at the end of each sequence" checkbox. Whether checked or not, though, all lights will be turned off when the show itself ends. This seems to contradict what I experienced last year. All lights were not turned off when the show itself ended.I'm hoping this is just an error in the help file and I will be able to continue to leave channels turned on after a show ends. Is this true?I am mainly concerned with X10 channels (that don't require a heartbeat to stay on).
Steven
In a closely related subject, I'm thinking of moving some channels out of a "Background" sequence, and putting them into a "Startup" sequence, where they will be left on at the end of that sequence and the "Turn used lights off..." box is unchecked. This will let me leave those channels on when one show ends and the next begins, eliminating a flash.I will turn these channels off in the "Shutdown" sequence of the last show of the evening. Is there any reason not to do it this way? bob
Yes, the help file is incorrect. I think that, when I wrote that, I was confusing it with the fact that the lights will go off after you "disable shows".I will update the help file regarding this. Thanks for pointing it out.
