Guest guest
Hello. I was wondering if the LOR1602W Showtime Controller can be upgraded from 30 to 40 amp capacity by just installing 20 amp fuses and changing the power supply cord to 12 gauge or is there more to it?Regards,Doc
Guest guest
Don't forget that you'll need to have two 20A circuits available to utilize the full 40A capacity, as well as the upgraded power cords with the correct receptacle and plug.Tom
Guest guest
Dont use that plug! That one is for 240v!Edit: Actually, the yellow plug is 120v, but that receptacle pictured is 240v.
Guest guest
that receptacle pictured is 240v.Oops, yes you're correct! I had a 50/50 chance of copying the wrong receptacle. The correct photo has been inserted. Thanks,Tom

Guest guest
Thanks for the replies. Also, where is a good place to buy 12 gauge, 20 amp power cords?Regards,Doc
Guest guest
i'm not sure what others would recommend, but i'd say just buy a 50ft. 12AWG extension cord from HD or Lowes and some male ends and cut the cord into smaller lengths, that would do the job if you are confident with wiring a large gauge cord such as 12.just my .
Guest guest
I asked Dan about stocking them and he said he was looking into it. His cost was more than he expected. He said he may have them later in the year.Chris

It was designed to handle that load.
