Removing sections of time from a sequence

After 5 days of running, my wife has advised the two songs are just too long and (I know she is right...)

So, I want to cut a chunk right out....say from 1:09 to 2:30. I have cut the song in audacity and just assumed I could select and cut the same way in lor2, but no success.

Is there an easy way, that I am just not seeing?

I usually cut and paste. There may be a simpler way but it is pretty simple to me using the same time line as I cut in Audacity to cut and paste from the original sequence into a new one.

Someone else chime in that does it differently maybe.
