Robin
They usually go 50% on everything day after Christmas. If all holds true watch for Lowes at 75% off sometime next week. Wal Mart day after Christmas 50% and 75% New Years Day.
friskybri
the bad thing about watching Lowe's after Christmas is there is going to be nothing left. Right now there is not much. Plus I found out from someone that I know that works at Lowe's. They get an additional 20% off the Christmas stuff so I can see why most of it is gone. Next year I am going to hit him up for his discount.
mnkyboy
I had to run by HD for a sparkplug for my mower ( winter grass). I saw th signs as soon as I walked in and made an abrupt left hand turn.. absolutly NO leds!! Last week these shelves were full of them...
Push Eject
Ours are nearly sold out too. If you need to stock up, I'd do it now. Today 100ct minis at RiteAid are $1.50, Walmart they are 2.38... not the .50c/box we've seen before, but it's looking bleak.
Texan78
I was in HD and Lowes yesterday pricing out stuff for my new sub panel. The Lowes I was in had already sold out of everything and they only had maybe 2 shelves of Christmas stuff.HD wasn't much better, they were doing the 50% off and most of there stuff was gone as well, but had much more then Lowes.Wal-Mart, yea looking very grim from the start....I don't know about everywhere else around the country, but this started with Halloween and carried over to Christmas. It just seems like all these places were not stocked up or had the selection of previous years. I know the news said with the economy not many people were going to decorate. So I wonder if stores planned around that. I have noticed around here a few that decorate every year haven't. The ones that do have put them up late in the season as of this weekend. The home run store I think at the moment would be Garden Ridge if you have one. At this time of the month the selection is probably not all that great, but what you can find is going to be a good buy. They start there 50% sales right off the bat first week of Dec. Robin
None of our HD stores are doing 50% here. Of course they never have till the day after Christmas.I am a little confused about Home Depot though. Last year all of their color lights were the big mini 70 count. Now they have 110 count color light standard minis. Also, they have 100 count and 110 count clear minis. Just do not understand the reasoning.Have not checked Lowes but really I am pretty set on lights this year unless I buy some LEDs.
friskybri
Is this a good price for UL Male Slide-On Plug, Case of 100? It was listed on the home depot website for $53http://www.homedepot.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10051&langId=-1&catalogId=10053&productId=100652709&N=6+530294+90401
Robin
Yeah seems to be a little cheaper than normal. That is unless there is a sale going on and I still think they are about $0.55 a piece then. So good price. Did not know HD had them.
DanCampbell
Checked HD on the way in this morning and they still only have a few specialty items marked down. Haven't seen a 50 or 100 ct clear mini in the HD's, Lowes, and WM's around here for weeks. RiteAid's only marked down to $4 (!) for 100 ct minis.I picked a lean year to start this 'hobby'. Texan78
I went past the Lowes in my neighborhood and my findings were like the others. They have put all the Christmas down for the year and the nursery is back to a nursery. What little products they have left are on a couple of sheleves in the store. CLD Kevin
The HD by me has hundereds of 100ct clear and about 12 boxes of red mini, but no sale. Still full price? They actually have several displays and trees left which were the only stuff that was 50% off. Have you seen that Farris Wheel...pretty cool, but $200. Thay had 4 left. The Lowes also had 160 boxes of the 100ct clear mini and about 200+ boxes of another type of mini, but I didnt like those. They are a little bit smaller. Everything is 50% off. I was thinking about buying all the mini up, but they are the GE Constant On which I read here had some issues? A little pricey too at $8 ea...well now $4ea with 50% off. mwilliams
Last year, after Christmas at my local HD, 300 count white icicle lights were selling for $1 a box. Before Christmas, same lights were $11.I bought 36 boxes for $36. Also bags of 50 bows for gift wrapping were 1 cent. I hope it's like that this year. I don't really need any more lights, but who could pass up deals like that? I mean, you never know what you might need, right?
