What are you referring to when you say "when it open it cannot find my files or folders"?

For example, does it say that when you try to open a file with the Sequence Editor? Or some other program?

What do you mean by the difference between "manually find them" and whatever it is that gives this error?

What operating system are you using?

Thanks Bob for getting back to me so soon. Here is what is happening. I am using Windows XP. I open LOR Sequence editor. It says On the blue part of the window "Cannot find file or folder:c(then the file name of where my files are). I click ok. Now I get a NEW Sequence?Open Sequence box. it has 3 tabs New Seq, Existing Seq, Recent Seq.I can find my files through ther. I open one run it and close it. Then I try to open a file by clicking on the open folder icon (folder with open arrow)> This is how i usually open all my files. and I get the same Cannot Find file or folder.

It sounds like your machine is set up so that LOR tries to look for your sequences in a directory that doesn't actually exist.

To fix this, please try the following:

(1) Close all Light-O-Rama programs that are running, including not just stuff like the Sequence Editor, but also the Light-O-Rama Control Panel (the lightbulb icon in your computer's system tray).

(2) Open up Windows Explorer, and go to the directory that holds your Light-O-Rama program files (typically, this directory is C:Program FilesLight-O-Rama).

(3) In that directory, there should be a program called "LORPost.exe". Run that program.

(4) It will ask you to specify the name of a directory for LOR to store files in.

Tell it the directory ONE LEVEL ABOVE wherever your sequence files currently are.

For example, if your sequence files are in the directory:

C:Documents and SettingsDonMy DocumentsLight-O-RamaSequences

Then tell LORPost to use the directory:

C:Documents and SettingsDonMyDocumentsLight-O-Rama

(5) Let LORPost do it's thing - hit "Next" and "Finish" until it has completed and is closed.

(6) Try running the Sequence Editor again.

THANKS A LOT BOB. You are the best. That fixed it. Once I found the root directory I was able to get my sub folders into the proper place. Thanks again for the super fast reply. Love the new 2.14 I am now changing a couple of my songs and will get the new version out tomorrow. Thanks again. Don C.
