Dimming problem with new firmware 4.30 on CTB16PC

I just uploaded the new firmware to my controllers to take advantage of the shimmer with dimming feature.

Now I get a flickering when lights are dimmed. The lights in question are incandescent minis.

Any ideas?

What type of controller is it? Was this in the hardware utilty or with a sequence? Has your software been upgraded to 2.1.2?

It's a CTB16PC. It was a sequence played during a show. The software is 2.1.2.

I only noticed it once while the show was playing and then I had to leave. I'll check it again today and get back to you.

By the way, I have one CTB-08 v1.0. I'd like to be able to use the dimming shimmer function with this. Is that possible?

Currently there is no (fading shimmer/twinkle) firmware available for the CTB08. It is available for all other light controllers including the iDMX1000.

CTB-08's run about half my show :D Fortunately I'm not that sad about not having "fading twinkles" available, and definitely not going to change anything at this point in the game...

As far as the CTB08s... They have a standalone mode in them that is pretty much worthless (unless you want a simple chase)... If we add the new effects to them, they will loose standalone mode. Currently there are 3 bytes of free programming memory in them:shock: Most likely it is a fair trade.

I have no problem with losing the standalone mode for the new abilities.

Any scheduled dates for the new effects to be added to the CTB08 product line? I would just as soon get that done before I put them in storage.
