Dr. Jones
Would it be possible to have the hard settings ( switches) override the soft settings (HWU) when is comes to addressing? Especially on the CTB16D boards.I normally place my 16d's in the hardest of locations to reach after installation because they have the dials. While trying to address a 16PC, I forgot to unplug the out to a couple of 16D boards. Low and behold the 16D boards now have the same address as the 16PC. cmoore60
If you cycle power to the 16D boards. They will read the switches and reset. At least that is the way I would think it would work with out the jumper in place.Worth a shot.Chuck
Dr. Jones
yes- resetting does return the unit to 01 and the switches then again workI was thinking if either the HWU or the CTB16D board could have a pop-up asking if you are sure you want to screw up or a block that wouldn't allow the change to occur
LightORamaDan
Any controller with Unit ID switches will re-read the switches at startup time.
