Carsten Posted November 30 Posted November 30 Hey everyone, I'd like to add a second color to my 16-channel megatree, but the topper is already completely covered by the add-a-string female connectors (that are not attached to anything). Has anyone come up with a solution for cutting off the socket and replacing it with something that can be hung over a small megatree topper hook? Thanks in advance for any ideas! - Carsten
TheDucks Posted November 30 Posted November 30 If you CUT, then you must INSULATE very well. Zip ties with a screw hole ? https://www.amazon.com/HS-Plastic-Screw-Mountable-Electrical/dp/B078P8KVJ8/ref=sr_1_3?crid=1NU0A11O5JZGF&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.ncwbobSubZogR1-X1WROB50vIaYIzODCtfIEgGUtJLhkydDaIcwJlhCR5s-4mwn7jiELLQWv3wa2XYUA6FFwfGO9LqmazQqVIS6207OrHDpqz0klGp3yE3flKMW5ni2zgkGxemR9U-_PuYL6UUQ8IRAe4seopBiNPme2mupZ_Pcf88aoBo6BOuhXhziqSIHgPhNvNxW-1OKmCjCoQ2rJiT8HF_WPsT1R50-7G3JlepI.CKTM0eScfAWG6fQYdDmZ9AUuG--J5pGzsLi7CqGKDbw&dib_tag=se&keywords=zip+tie+with+screw+mount&qid=1733006649&sprefix=zip+tie+with%2Caps%2C203&sr=8-3
Mr. P Posted November 30 Posted November 30 (edited) How are you connecting the strings at the top? I have 64 strings, red, green, blue and white on mine but I hang my connectors so they don't crowd the top plus it keeps water out. Edited November 30 by Mr. P
