Always sad to see a display go dark. What made you decide to end it right at the start of a display season?

Nah... This is toward the end of my season. Halloween done. Christmas up and running... all downhill coast from here.

No sadness... It just feels like the right time to turn the page and start on the next chapter.

This is my 22nd animated season, so I clearly don't know how to "turn the page" lol.

TJ maybe I can get by again. This is going to be my last season also. My health is getting bad and my wife put her foot down and said no more lights. so I have a ton of lights, controllers, and RGB pixels and ribbons.

I feel you, this is my 15th year at it and I am considering moving on as well.

I think there are more of us older guys that have health problems, I two am one of them. If my health doesn't improve I will have to make that decision as well. The past 2 years I have had lots of help putting my display up and taking it down but it's not like getting out there and doing the work yourself. I just turned 80 this November and can't do some of the things that I use to do when I started back in 2009.

TJ Your show was on our yearly jaunt around Wichita until moving to Connecticut in 2021.

I had to downsize my show when I moved to CT from Towanda...5 Acres down to 1/2 an acre...I think it will enable me to go a while longer.

I started in 2007 and 2022 was my last show (for now). I am thinking of 1 more in 2025. However, I sold most of my AC controllers. I still have some ac controllers and smart pixels that I use to light up my house, but no show.  Static display now.  Having more time to do other things is a-ok.
