Adding moving head dmx lights

Hey I would like to keep all of my controller mostly if not all lor but if not its okay do you guys know what dmx controllers and adapters I would need and can i run all of this of my mp3 g4 director. Also do you recommend any high quality high power moving head dmx lights at a reasonable price? thanks and if there is another forum over this topic could someone share it with me.

I have never even  seen a director but the manual says it can output DMX. I also remember another member getting it working but it's been a long time and I don't recall any details. It may be time to deep dive into the manual for details. For starters, you would need to create a DMX universe with your heads channels and add them to your sequence.

The picture you posted looks like a typical $100 60 watt head. Cheap and cheerful.. I have eight similar. No sky beams except om a foggy  night. Good spot lights though with variable  shapes  and color gobos. also not water proof.

200 to 300W fixtures can be had for a few hundred dollars and up. Much more beamy, but power hungry and still not waterproof. Protective domes are more expensive  than the light's. There are  ip65 rated heads but that will push the price to nearer $1000. The size and weight also increase  with the price, so mounting becomes more demanding.

Most, if not all are made in China, so quality is a crap shoot.
